The achievement proves the Company compliance with the highest market standard with regard to credit card payment security

AlmavivA do Brasil, one of the largest companies in the Customer Experience sector, has received the PCI DSS – Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard – certification (3.2.1 version), issued by the PCI Security Standard Council, for its operations in Latin America. This certification defines security standards for credit card payment processes, imposing procedural parameters to increase protection during data transmission. Among the requirements for the certification: building and maintaining a secure network, protect cardholder information. and implement strong access control measures.

“We are committed to a continuous safety care process, always maintaining the highest standards of reliability when dealing with data. We concentrate a large part of our investments on expanding our mechanisms for protecting one of the most important assets of the Company: information”, explains Luis Thinen, AlmavivA CIO.

Having among our customers the main digital and investment banks, insurance companies, means of payment, retail, e-commerce and mobile/Internet, and energy operators, the executive manager explains that “the certification is very important because, in addition to maintaining the criteria that guarantee information security, it gives the Company a maturity in control and credit card processes, in addition to stimulating and improving a general culture of keeping up with reliabitiy in all sectors of the Company”, he added.

“The certification aims to improve our constant evolution in information security processes and policies, mainly focussing on credit card data. In the market segment in which we operate, this certification is highly required, mainly because we store our customer servers and equipment in our environment.
